Enrolment

Enrolments for the 2024 school year are now open.

Dear Families,

Choosing the right school for your child is a big decision. At Waubra Primary School, we offer an excellent teaching and learning program, as well as many other learning experiences outside of the classroom.

We have three full time classroom teachers who are supported by our wonderful education support staff.

Waubra Primary School provides a variety of specialist subjects. Each student attends Physical Education, Art, Technology each week and Japanese classes fortnightly. Students attend MARC Van (mobile library) each fortnight with a focus on Humanities, History, Geography and Civics & Citizenship Studies.

The Department of Education has released a new statewide timeline for enrolling in Foundation (Prep) for the 2024 school year.

Parents and carers can apply to enrol their child at Waubra Primary School from the start of Term 2, 2023 (Monday 24 April 2023). Parents and carers are asked to apply to enrol by Friday 28 July 2023

If you are interested in enroling your child please complete 2024 Enrolment Form or alternatively contact the school office to request an Enrolment Form via email waubra.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Our school follows the Department of Education’s Enrolment Policy for the enrolment, placement, and transfer of students.

Students who live within the school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. To find out whether you live in zone, visit findmyschool.vic.gov.au

All other applications will be considered subject to available space, and prioritised according to:

  1. students with a sibling at the same permanent address who are attending the school at the same time
  2. all other students in order of closeness of their home to the school.

Please read the Enrolment information as it provides information about the enrolment process, and other documentation you will need to provide to the school with your completed student enrolment form.

Required Documents: Birth Certificate and Immunisation Status Certificate.

The Waubra Primary School Parent Handbook also provides valuable parent information about our school. If you require hard copies of any documents please contact the school office on (03) 5343 5358 or alternatively email your request to waubra.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Prep/Foundation Enrolments

Starting school is an exciting time for children, parents and carers. We want to help make the enrolment process as easy as possible for you.  Each year, the department releases the Foundation (Prep) Enrolment Information Pack for Parents/Carers, with information packs available from the beginning of Term 2 for students commencing foundation/prep the following year. These information packs, and other important information, can be found on the Enrolling in Foundation (Prep)page of the Victorian Government website.

Parent Payments

Under the Department of Education and Training's Parent Payments Policy, Victorian government schools are required to provide transparent information to their school community on voluntary parent/carer contributions.

The following documents outline the voluntary parent/care contributions at our school.
